The first day I met Matt I was in Mrs. Kelleys computer class with Haley Christ. He sat in front of us and when roll was called he responded to his name with The Champ is Here! He later in a dead serious voice told us he had a son then pulled out pictures of Karys son(his nephew) to prove it! He NEVER called me by anything other then Kiki. The best vacation Ive ever had was spent with him and Lauren in a seaside cabin at the beach trading secrets and planning our futures! We swapped Christmas gifts one year at school, Id never seen anyone more excited to get Play doh and a cap gun! He ran around the rest of the day shooting people (mainly Mr. DeMoss and Preston teasing him that he should be used to it living in Stowell.) When he didnt have lunch money he found his way to my car and the puppy dog eyes always got him taco Bell. Right before he passed away, Lauren, Matt, and I went to the midnight showing of The Chronicles of Narnia. He insisted we make a pact to go to all future midnight releasesof the film. So far, I have and think about him everytime I see the films. I taught Matt to make bombs out of water bottles and the heat pack s in MREs which he later thru into the office and blamed on Zach Cravy. Most importantly Matt was my own champion. He was kind when others werent and always made it a point to champion the under dog. He could argue with a brick wall and sell ice to eskimos. Not a day goes by I dont think about your brother, Abby and his impact in my life. I went thru a lot in my private life and hs was some of the worst years for me. Matt new all of my story, yet accepted and loved me un conditionally. He was a kickass friend and I miss him always!!
