The first drill meet is in the books and the cadets did AWESOME, especially considering it was the first time we made the trip to Branson to compete against these 18 schools!!! First of all, we had FIVE cadets finish in the top 10 of the Individual Drill Down competition, and we took first, second, and fifth place!! That means we had five of the top 10 individual marchers out of over 300 cadets at the drill meet!!! Here are our team results in each category : New Cadet Unarmed Regulation Drill -- 4th of 18 Color Guard A -- 5th of 18 Color Guard B -- 4th of 18 Unarmed Regulation Drill -- 11th of 18 Unarmed Exhibition Drill -- 4th of 18 Armed Regulation Drill -- 6th of 18 Personnel Inspection -- 6th of 18 Overall Championship -- 6th of 18 MSgt Gonzales and I are proud as heck of the cadets for traveling into new territory and peforming so well! We have definitely started the drill meet season off on the right foot (no pun intended)!! Next up -- Lees Summit West on December 6th!! Cheers, Colonel Cole
