The first ever comet landing: a great feat of science and technology indeed, and yet I have mixed feelings about it all. It reminds me too strongly of the fate that our planet -- our own planet -- has suffered at the hands of similar landings. I have heard the phrase `mining in the outer space to make me fear that we may unleash the same destruction in the outer space that we have on our own planet, hiding it behind the progress and development. We have `mined like only a rapist civilization knows best. These are strong words, but what we have done to our planet, and what we may do to the immediate outer space, is a matter of the gravest of concerns. Certainly, one day the life from our planet would have to seek a home elsewhere. For that we must celebrate this landing. But without the wisdom, without the feeling for the sacred, I am worried that we may be doing all this too prematurely. Perhaps the suffering tribes in India, and the rest of the world, who know the impact of such landings would give a home to such sentiments, from the rest I ask for a respect for a dissenting opinion.
