The first issue of TRF Uproots is coming out this Friday. With Uproots replacing the Shut up & Read It, and Patrick Trick coming on as Co-Editor, there will be a separate double sided sheet for SU and RI readers available separate from Uproots, as UR is a family and community friendly paper. Please help me in welcoming aboard Patrick to the Uproots staff. We are also seeking articles, ART, peoms, thoughts, rants/raves, stories, shoutouts, RennieU submissions, stuff for sale or need to buy, looking for work and looking for workers, etc for any who wish to contribute. We are seeking cover art for this issue for anyone else who might be interested. If you have submissions, you can submit it in anyway you want, napkins, paper sheets, online via facebook, anything. Any physical submissions can be given to me or Patrick, or via the drop envelope at the Copper Rose. Included in any issue of Uproots will be a full double sided page of cartoons, crosswords, mazes, trivia, etc for the Kids and Kids at heart. Uproots is a big supporter of RESCU which it contributes the remaining funds at the end of each festival. So, help contribute to the community by submitting content! In addition to the local TRF paper issue, an Uproots Nation online issue will be available, to include event info for any current shows that people submit about, any news, thoughts, poems etc circuit wide. As this is nearing the end of the season, the last issue of the TRF issue will include a Festival directory for 2014 for those interested in wanting in info for the coming year. Taking volunteers to help gather info for it for any who wish. Anyone on circuit would be welcome. PLEASE contact me for details.
