The first litter of babys born from The Shoemakersville Rat Rescue are 1 week old today. There are 11 babys in this litter & they are all the same color, a beautiful Blue/Grey the same color as mama. Mom is starting to come out from the nest a little bit more & she is loving the larger cage I put her in with her babys. The other two pregnant females I took from this rescue on Sunday still have not had their babys yet. One mom is busy making her nest already. Both of these pregnant moms are Siamese but the babys could be Siamese or Blues or even nakies because of the 3 types of varietys of males they were in with. I am now up to 85 rats ( 75 are still in my shelter with all my other rescues from our club )that I brought to Pittsburgh from this rescue & will soon be over 100 after the other two moms have their babys.I wanted to post a picture of the new babys but for some odd reason I do not see a attach photo on the postings on this site any longer. I had posted pictures a couple of days ago of the rats from this rescue that I now have in my rescue & I had no problem attaching photos to those posts but then the photos & the posts just seemed to disappear off this site. Sorry I cant figure out how to put the photo up. I will say the babys are adorable!
