The first movie on this review is The Monuments Men starring George Clooney, Matt Damon, Bill Murray,Bob Balaban,Hugh Bonneville, Jean Dujardin, John Goodman, and Cate Blanchett. Yup that was a mouthful. The movie is about the true story of a group of men sent into World War II to save stolen art that Hitler wants to destroy if things go bad for him. This is one of the movies I have been waiting for, mainly because of Bill Murray and John Goodman, but I really dont understand why George Clooney had to be in this movie. I hated most of his acting and dialogue. I even liked Matt Damon more than Clooney in this one. Now for everyone else the acting was awesome and the story was a different look on the war which was enjoyable. Seemed like it went through the war too quickly though. All of a sudden a year went by with not much notice. Plus at the end there was no write up about the actual people involved which I find annoying after watching a movie based on a true story. Makes it seem fake.----7/10 The second movie is Vampire Academy starring Zoey Deutch and Lucy Fry. This movie is about two girls. One is a vampire and the other is her guardian. The guardians(Dhampir) need to protect the peaceful vampires(Moroi) from the evil vampires(Strigoi). I was really worried about this one but surprisingly it was pretty good. There was a few high school corny moments in this film which just makes you wanna shake your head but it also had some really funny quirkiness to it. The background story between the good/evil vampires and the guardians I think is one of the best written in a long time but it is an adaptation of a book series with the same name so Im not giving Hollywood that credit.That belongs to Richelle Mead. I actually liked the story between the main characters as well even with the corniness to it and the acting was decent. I kinda hope they adapt the other books but fear that they wont be as good.----8/10 Next review will be on The Lego Movie 3D and ROBOCOP!!!
