The first photo is our homegrown popcorn growing in the field. Many people have asked what it looks like - it looks like field or sweet corn before it is harvested. The second photo is one many of you are familiar with - our popcorn after it has been harvested, cleaned and bagged. We give away one bag of popcorn for every tree sold. Additional bags are available for sale, and many folks do buy extra to pop and eat or for creating popcorn garlands for their Christmas trees. Popcorn Popping Instructions for Those without a Popcorn Popper: Use a large heavy bottomed pot or skillet with a lid. Coat the bottom with vegetable oil, add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of popcorn to pan and heat on the stove at medium heat with lid on. When the popcorn starts popping, vent the lid by tilting it and shake to keep kernels from burning or sticking. Take off the heat when popping stops. Add salt, butter, and /or other favorite seasonings and enjoy!
