The first photo shows an Israeli soldier welding shut the front door of elderly Palestinian, Amal Hashem Dundeis, in Shuhada Street, Hebron (Al Khalil), on 19th January.The second photo shows Amal crying outside her house. She later collapsed and had to be taken to hospital. The soldiers also welded shut the front doors of two adjoining houses. Shuhada Street was once a main road in Al Khalil, bustling with shops and homes. However, Israeli apartheid policies - including the welding shut of doors to deny people access to their homes and shops - has reduced it to a ghost street.
