The first photo shows three nurses who survived Ebola and have gone back to work serving Ebola patients. From left, we have Zainab Fofanah, Kanko Marah, Mariatu Kargbo all gone back to work at the Magbenteh treatment center in Makeni, Sierra Leone. The second photo shows Josephine Finda Sellu, the Deputy Matron of Kenema Government Hospital who was yesterday cited as an CNN Woman of Year 2014 who “taught us that the stakes are high and the road to a better future is fraught with difficulties, but with strength and dignity, we can get there”. Sellu, showed the incredible courage and commitment of the task when back in August, she recalled more than a dozen nurses in her staff already dead, wondering how many more would perish. This update is in honour of our nurses; alive & dead. May God bless you all for serving us. (y) (y)
