The first picture on the left is a present day image from google street view of the house in the second picture where my great grandparents Frank James & Sarah Ellen Sansom (nee Finch) lived in Clenchers Mill Lane, Eastnor, they were the proprietors of Eastnor Laundry. The third picture was found with the second picture & as you can see the porch is the same as in the second picture suggesting that it is the same house. I have often wondered who the young man was though as his clothing suggests a much earlier time period to that of the second picture. Today while searching my grandparents surname on the new Herefordshire History website it brought up a page from The Newent Reporter dated January 10th 1914. On the page is an article about the Liberal Fancy Dress Ball at Ledbury that listed some of the attendees & the costumes that were worn. My grandfathers name appears in the list of gentlemen that went in fancy dress so I am assuming that the third picture is that of my grandfather Ernest Sansom aged 19 dressed as Hamlet before he went to the ball. I will post the full newspaper article about the ball in the comments, maybe some of the other names listed will be recognised.
