The first quarter of fiscal 2013 began slowly for Murray - TopicsExpress

The first quarter of fiscal 2013 began slowly for Murray Associates due mainly to the completion of the Borg El Arab support project in Egypt and a lull in activity in ongoing airport development projects in Asia. However, translation in non-aviation sectors increased somewhat during the quarter and carried us through until the resumption of major airport project activities in the second quarter. The start up and commissioning assistance project for Terminal 2 at Noi Bai International Airport, Vietnam got into full swing in the last three quarters of the fiscal year. Together with capacity and facility expansion projects at Narita, Haneda and Kansai airports along with a surge in airport retailing and signage reviews, fiscal 2013 became our best year in the history of the company. We expect strong conditions to continue in fiscal 2014 with ongoing capacity and facility expansion at Japan’s three major international airports and more overseas development aid (ODA) airport development and management assistance projects in Asia and elsewhere. This will be supported by the build up towards the Tokyo Olympics in 2020 as the nation prepares it infrastructure. We look forward to another busy fiscal year.
