The first thing I spotted when I left the house today was a large flock of cedar waxwings chowing wild grapes. I was also treated to some areal acrobatics from three different rough-legged hawks (all were too far away to get pictures) and a group of crows badgering a red-tailed hawk in a large spruce tree. There were horned larks in a corn field and many song birds taking refuge in apple orchards. I love days like this! Despite the wind you can find all sorts of interesting things happening and there is SUNSHINE!!!
