The first time I heard this version of this on A Very Special - TopicsExpress

The first time I heard this version of this on A Very Special Christmas (Not the very first time I had heard the song itself; had loved it for years......), I was bowled over not only by how perfectly the words and music are suited to each other, but how this particular artist and arrangement heighten its mystery and haunting beauty. So often that isnt the case, especially with older carols and Chritmas classics. Although this is not strictly a Chritmas song (it deals with The Annunciation), it has come to be associated with the holiday due to the relevance of its subject matter..... I feel that no matter what your phiosphy might be, the gloriousness of this is virtually inescapable.... And for some inexplicable reason, the name Alecia Oneill leaps to mind..... :/ youtu.be/GF2BzUDeTkY
