The first time my antie had a minor stroke that almost took her - TopicsExpress

The first time my antie had a minor stroke that almost took her speech away, I vowed to research deeply about this monster called Stroke. My first source of information was Google. I read and read so much about Stroke and the first aid that comes with it. Among the first aid steps was one that stuck in my mind. It read Poke the patient underneath the feet using a sharp object or a pin gently repeatedly. That point stuck in my mind coz I could not imagine someone poking me using a pin!! About a month after my research, I travelled to her home to pay them a visit. One afternoon, I was sleeping under a mango tree and my antie was sitting in front of the house reading a newspaper. As paranoid as I was, I kept stealing glances at her to make sure I see her getting a Stroke. I had read in Google that if someone suffered a minor stroke, there was a possibility of another stroke. So antie was definitely at a risk of another stroke. Due to fatigue, I ended up falling asleep. About 30 mins later, I was woken up by noises. I lifted my head up very fast in time to see the chair antie was sitting on hitting the ground and her dog jumping in freight next to it. My antie lay still next to it. Within a split of a second, I remembered watching on tv how pets struggle to help their owner in time of need. I thought her dog Ford was trying to help antie who was suffering a Stroke. I grabbed a stick and shot to where she was and without a warning lifted her feet and started poking them in panic mode. she quickly woke up pushing me away and asked what I was doing. I looked at her and told her to sit back and relax, just as Google had told me. When the patient recovers from the stroke, ask them to sit back and relax as you call for help. I was relieved at how fast the poking worked. That I had barely started poking her and now she was already up. Then she looked at me and said Markos what’s wrong? I just looked at her perplexed!! How was I even spsd to explain that I thought she was having a stroke? The laughter that followed next as I told her why I was poking her, later alone….!!! I read Google right. It rely worked zo it made me suffer from Paranoia. But I always kept a needle with me anytime I was around her. Just in case!!! But she also had told me in advance to always stay alert when am around. In in such moments, she would stretch vilest en I attack!! Some diseases should be sent to hell!! Poking someone you love with a Sharp object is not a walk in the park.
