The first time we went through Prestuns treatments we asked for assistance but was to proud to push the issue. Bills and expenses stacked up and now with your contributions we can take care of some of them. We started out asking for a certain amount not completely thinking it through. We have our past bills, our current bills and expenses and then our future bills and expenses. We initially were told we would only be in NY for a short time then would come back. Now Prestun is to be kept in NY until at least Christmas time. Treatments have change, been added and have been extended. This means more money and we don’t even know what the future holds. I would give every dime back that has been donated and triple it if my family could just pack up go home and have back the last three years we have spent battling this horrible disease. When we are done I hope to start a foundation to help families like ours so we can raise the money needed for expenses and treatments, so their families can focus on their medical care and not people’s criticism and judgment. Most people have never gone through this and have no idea what a mental, spiritual, and financial burden this is. I am not judging anyone for their comments because before Prestun had this I may have made some of the same comments for people that asked for money to help them. All im asking is that you keep the negativity to yourselves as Prestun and our family has had more than our fair share of negativity in this life time.
