The flesh can not stand against and war against the spirit of God and expect to do as well as would be if the spirit of God is obeyed instead. There is always an alternative way, always an alternative plan, but it will never be as good as the plans of Jesus Christ. It is known in our land that many people prosper by ways of many different things. Yet the greatest of all prosperity still remains for those who will follow after the spirit of God, be lead by that spirit on into the Kingdom of Heaven. There are many ways a person can fail God.....and miss out on heaven after while. Vanity, seeking after a status symbol of an image is actually something the devil plants in the hearts of people while maybe all else is clean and pure, just these things of the flesh: vanity, status symbol and image seeking in crowds of people significant to them is enough to block entrance to the Kingdom of Heaven because these things are a sign of a lack of Charity, spots and blemishes upon the heart which creates an imperfect heart instead of a perfect heart. A person does not have to even go out of their house to commit sin if they live inside a world in which in their hearts they seek after and a certain type of image or status symbol just within their own households and maybe not even go out of their own house and territory of their own families for much of anything else to miss out on heaven after while. We have to seek to know the spirit of God and the will of God, which sometimes requires swallowing our own personal pride we have to stop standing in the way of sinner people that might even be our own children, while in the process of seeking after a particular image or status symbol within groups of people and causing their own souls to be lost as well as those they lead in the same. Vanity and pride comes in many different forms in the eyes of God.
