The following advisory has been issued by the Borough of Sayre — Borough officials would like to remind residents that individuals and businesses who solicit door-to-door selling items such as magazine subscriptions, food products, vacuum cleaners, etc. are required to register with the borough and obtain a solicitation permit. Residents should ask the sales person to see a copy of their solicitation permit. A valid solicitation permit will include the company name, the signature of the police chief, and have the official seal of Sayre Borough. In the event that the door-to-door salesperson does not have a valid permit, you should ask them to leave your property immediately and call the Sayre Borough Police Department at 888-2233. A current list of valid solicitation permits can be obtained from the borough administration office or by calling 888-7739.
