The following are the members of the Shandonagh Gaa minor panel to participate in the 2014 minor final against the Downs on Sunday 26th October 2014 in Cusack Park, Mullingar. Shane Kenny Student in Sligo IT. Shane has represented the club at all levels including intermediate. Shanes absence this year as a result of a cruciate knee ligament injury sustained earlier on in the year has been a huge blow to this team. He was a member of the minor team that won the 2012 Championship 13 a side. He also holds an Under 16 division II league medal. Cathal Craig Brother of Conor and Aaron. He is a relentless and full blooded defender. Pupil of Mullingar Vocational college. He was a member of the féile winning team in 2012. Conor Craig Reliable shot stopper and has represented the club at all grades including intermediate. He was a member of the minor team that won the 2012 Championship 13 a side. He also holds an Under 16 division II league medal. Gareth Carr Eldest son of famous father Tom and Mary. Pupil of St. Marys CBS, Gareth was a member of the féile winning team in 2012 and has also represented Westmeath in underage football. He is a solid defender and a great reader of the game. Luke Tynan Student of Computer science at TCD. Luke has represented the club at all levels. He is an intuitive forward with a canny knack of scoring goals. He was a member of the minor team that won the 2012 Championship 13 a side. He also holds an Under 16 division II league medal. Sandi Ndebele 1st year engineering student in UCD. Sandiso is a versatile defender who can play in many positions because of his intelligent reading of the game. He was a member of the minor team that won the 2012 Championship 13 a side. He also holds an Under 16 division II league medal. Alan Hughes Alan has represented Westmeath at all levels of underage football. He is a strong physical forward with a direct style of play. He has played rugby for Clongowes Wood College, Leinster and Ireland underage. He was a member of the minor team that won the 2012 Championship 13 a side. He also holds an Under 16 division II league medal. Wesley Leonard Student. Wesley attends St. Marys CBS and has proven himself to be a reliable panel member and never misses training. Wesley also holds an Under 16 division II league medal. Alex Gillmor Student. Frostie to his friends, is Ballineas favourite shop assistant. He played full back in the 2012 under 16 team and has recently made a return to the panel. He was a member of the minor team that won the 2012 Championship 13 a side. He also holds an Under 16 division II league medal. Conor McCrossan Conor is playing his first year with Shandonagh. He is a pupil of St Finians College, Mullingar. He is a capable and strong forward. He also hurls for Loughlene Gaels and has represented Westmeath at underage hurling. Ben Wears Treanors Ben is a great reader of the game and a swift half back. He is a pupil of the vocational college in Mullingar. Ben was a member of the féile winning team in 2012. Mikey Heslin Student of Agricultural Science in UCD. The gentle giant of the team, he is equally adept off both left and right foot. He was a member of the minor team that won the 2012 Championship 13 a side. He also holds an Under 16 division II league medal. Donal Liddy Is a Wholehearted defender who has represented the club at all levels and St. Marys CBS. Donal hurls with St Oliver Plunketts, is a keen swimmer and Rugby player. He was a member of the minor team that won the 2012 Championship 13 a side. He also holds an Under 16 division II league medal. Ciaran Shanley Ciaran is a student of leisure management in Sligo IT. He has represented club and county at all levels. He is a stylish player with a sharp eye for a score. He was a member of the minor team that won the 2012 Championship 13 a side. He also holds an Under 16 division II league medal. Tom Tic Tac Molloy Tom is a talented forward with a good eye for a score. He is a pupil of St. Marys CBS. He has represented Westmeath at underage level and was a member of the féile winning team in 2012. He also plays soccer for Mullingar athletic. Brian Kavanagh Brian is a talented forward with a wonderful scoring touch. He is a pupil of St. Marys CBS. Unfortunately Brian broke his thumb in the line of club duty in the quarter final against Shannon Gaels. He was a member of the féile winning team of 2012. Maitiu Scully Maitiu is a nephew of All Ireland winning midfielder, Sean ODomhnaill. He is a fast, versatile player, comfortable in attack or defence. He has represented Westmeath in underage football. He is a pupil of St Finians College, Mullingar. He was a member of the féile winning team of 2012 and holds a Division II under 16 medal. Robert Kenny Engineering student at NUIG. Robbie is one of the most committed club men. He has won the 2012 Championship 13 a side and he also holds an Under 16 division II league medal. Luke Lenehan Luke is an athletic all rounder with boundless energy and commitment. He is currently a pupil of St Finians College, Mullingar. Luke has represented Leinster in underage rugby. He holds a Division II under 16 league medal and was a member of the féile winning team of 2012. Gavin Moore Student. Gavin is a dependable forward who relishes tight, combative encounters. This is his first year playing minor football. Conor Gilhooley Apprentice. Conor has contributed scores at vital times during this seasons Championship campaign. Conor is also a talented hurler with Cullion. He was a member of the minor team that won the 2012 Championship 13 a side. He also holds an Under 16 division II league medal. Jamie Cox Student. Jamie has recently returned to play with us. He is a clever distributor of the ball. He has played in both the half back line and half forward line. He was a member of the minor team that won the 2012 Championship 13 a side. He also holds an Under 16 division II league medal. Daniel Allen Shop Assistant. Daniel has rejoined the panel recently and has contributed greatly to the teams improvement. Nano Healy Nano is the youngest member of the squad who despite his tender years is proving himself to be a very capable defender. He is also a very accomplished equestrian show jumper. Daire Conway Daire has represented the club at all grades including intermediate; he has been a member of the Westmeath minor panel for the past 2 years. He is a committed defender with an eye for attack. He was a member of the minor team that won the 2012 Championship 13 a side. He also holds an Under 16 division II league medal. MENTORS The mentors over this panel are manager Kevin Hickey, assisted by Stephen Lyons, Seamus Wallace, Michael Boyle and David Duffy
