Sample Letter: The egregious nature of Montanas killing contests are troubling to me. Montana aspires to be a tourist mecca for wildlife and this is contrary to that notion. (I visited Montana in July of 2014 and truly cannot continue to travel there as a tourist knowing this unethical activity is literally condoned across the state.) For all practical purposes, this activity serves no ecological purpose and lacks any semblance of wildlife management. Contests lack all matter of regulations and enforcement and violate the minimal Montana codes in place at the time. They perpetuate the idea of some species as vermin, or evil, and the notion that certain types of wildlife are dispensible, which they are not.
