The following is a series of events that occurred in the supermarket car park this evening. I can neither confirm nor deny that I am the mother being referred to in this tale. A mother pushed her trolley full of groceries through (what she presumed to be) an empty car park. To entertain her ridiculously good-looking baby, she was talking like a chipmunk about all the groceries they had bought. The mother hears a slight giggle and realises that the trolley boy is listening and watching her every move. Slightly embarrassed, she loads the groceries into the back of the CRV, puts the good-looking baby in the car and jumps into the front seat, now directly facing the trolley boy as she had parked right next to the trolley bay. She starts the car, mentally planning a route to the nearest petrol station as the car was desperately empty, and the car dies instantly. The mother has a slight epileptic fit of rage, then looked up to see the trolley boy trying so desperately not to laugh as he was close enough to hear the carefully selected curse words used by this attractive mother. Knowing that this was due to a severe lack of petrol and relying on fumes to get her going, she tried starting the car three more times, all the while making eye-contact with the trolley boy. With a sigh of relief, the car started and she threw the car into reverse, and promptly hit and ran over the trolley that she had left directly behind the car. You could almost see the trolley boy planning his Facebook status.
