The following is a text message being passed around in Calbayog that I cannot confirm as of yet. It is allegedly a joint statement of the National Grid Corporation & NAPOCOR. NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC: Super Typhoon Yolanda [I.N. HAIYAN] has brought massive damage in the Eastern Visayas region, particularly in its regional center and capital city, Tacloban. All lines of communication and electricity have shut down. With this, the region will experience a widespread black out for 2-3 months before all matters regarding electricity will come back repaired and fixed.
