The following is in response to the sharing, without my permission, of a photo one of my daughters and her friend. The aforementioned disparaging post will only be used to prove that the Fauxtog facebook page purports to provide fair critique of each instance which it does not. This page is specifically meant to allow a set of admins to set in as Judge and Jury and Executioner in a public essentially MOB setting to pass judgment as to whether anyones work warrants their approval. My work does not need the approval of a spoofed facebook page that uses self-righteous intonation to place and/or color my work in poor light. The following is directed at my supposed Jury. I dont believe youre interested in pointing out any of the flaws in my photography. Or anyone elses. I think what youre interested in is money. How could my work devalue yours if yours is SOOO much better? If that is true and I, having true intentions at heart by placing my work for my customers to view. If that hinders your work then I guess Im not doing as bad as youd claim. How can someone with so little to offer supplant someone with such stature within this medium? Are any of the admins willing to put their work out in public for critique? That would be a way to compare what your 40 plus years of experience has to offer. But I dont think any admin work is up for public critique. I believe your only out to slander other artists work. Artists as they grow critique their own work. The only way they can fail is by giving up. I will not fail because I will not give up my pursuit of good work. Granted there will be instances where some work will be better than others. Im willing to live with seeing my growth in my chosen profession. However, I will not live with slanders and charlatans who proclaim that there work is above reproach and do not give those unwitting victims of your maleficence the opportunity to have a positive mentored approach to the supposed critique. You want to point out who is a Fauxtographer its you and your supposed public forum. You challenge me? I challenge you. Show me why your work warrants your sniveling review of my growth. Have any of your admins been registered as certified professional photographers? Id venture not. You probably got your experience the same way allot of artists do...by working.
