The following is the apology message I wrote in an e-mail to the mother of the young lady I believe I allegedly made uncomfortable during my visit to the OSU Extension Center on May 22nd. To protect their identities, I am withholding their names: Dear Mrs. ****: You probably already know me. My name is Ethan Young, a former member of Crowder 4-H. On May 22nd, 2014, I attended an open house held at the OSU Extension Center in McAlester, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Extension Program in Oklahoma. During my visit, a sheriffs deputy took me aside and informed me that I was making a few people uncomfortable. As a result, I was asked to leave that event. Moments after I was asked to leave the event, I found out that one of the people I allegedly made uncomfortable was your daughter, ****, who was present at that event. If **** was indeed the young lady whom I allegedly made uncomfortable, please know that I had absolutely NO intentions of making your daughter or anyone else present at that event uncomfortable in any way, shape, or form. I have high-functioning autism, which may have made a few people uncomfortable due to my unfortunate mannerisms that autistic people sometimes do. I honestly feel terrible about my actions on that day and wish to send my most sincere and heartfelt apologies to **** and the rest of the **** family. Very sincerely, Ethan C. Young
