The following isnt my OPINION. It is FACT. A personal choice pertains to an individual person making a choice that effects them personally. It is not a personal choice to: Circumcise a baby, de-claw a cat, crop a dogs ears, lop off tails, pierce a child, etc. It IS a legal choice that you can make and is fully within your right to do so. (Though I really hope America catches up with other countries and makes it illegal) The only way it is a personal choice is if you are doing it to yourself. Period. By definition. Mutilating another living creature by lopping off body parts, for non-medical reasons, is not a personal choice. It is exactly that. Mutilation. Again, by definition, not my opinion. Own it for what it is and stop pretending youre the one its effecting. Bottom line, you are altering/taking risks with/causing pain to another creatures body to suit your aesthetic/materialistic, sensibilities ....or following along with outdated, barbaric customs which simply do not apply today. It is not pleasant for me to say I mutilated my two male children. I gave birth at a time when all the information wasnt a Google click away.
