The Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC) has secured a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (hereinafter referred to as EBRD) towards the cost of Al Shabab Power Project Phase II. The East Delta Electricity Production Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of EEHC hereinafter called Owner, now invites sealed Tenders from eligible Tenderers for the following contract package to be funded from part of the proceeds of the loan: Electrical Equipment / Instrument Installation Package for Al Shabab Power Project Phase II. The contract package includes all works related to, including but not limited to for designing, engineering, fabricating, furnishing, testing, delivering to Site, receiving, storing, installing, training, start-up, commissioning, putting into successful operation, maintaining until Operation Acceptance Certificate (OAC), and preparing the detailed drawings and other technical documents and as-built documents of all the materials, equipment, and all required electrical, instrumentation, and civil works described for Al Shabab Power Project Phase II. The planned delivery/construction period is 693 Days from the commencement of the Contract. Tendering for contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank is open to firms from all countries. The proceeds of the Bank’s loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations. The Tender Document for the above Package will be available at EDEPC’s offices on December 30, 2014.
