The food at Medan Town was surprisingly good! Best dish for me was the Soto Medan (Beef) which has that Wow, what is in this? factor. I also love their ondeh ondeh which pops in your mouth. They import their own gula aren which is really fragrant which also powers their cendol. Small restaurant owned and run by a couple from Medan. I think it is the only Medanese restaurant in town. Any Medanese reading this? I havent been to Medan so I cant tell you how authentic it is. All I can say is that we had a really good meal which made us want to go back again!
