The footlights of the theatre, costuming, and performance scenes - TopicsExpress

The footlights of the theatre, costuming, and performance scenes here in New Orleans burn noticeably dimmer tonight, as the arts mourn the heartbreaking and untimely exit of the beautiful and talented young Veronica Russell from this lifes harrowing stage for the last time. So many of us thrilled to her dazzling appearance in A Different Woman, her fearlessly executed duties in the risk-fraught service of the Big Easy Rollergirls, and her coquettishly charming interpretations of (often scandalously fetching) historical figures from the citys past, strolling the streets of the French Quarter during the holiday season. Veronica took her last bows early this morning, and is most assuredly set to triumph in much bigger projects than this world could have afforded her. Farewell, lovely, elegant lady. Grace and beauty will struggle to find themselves as worthy a vessel. I am one of many who continues to love you from afar.
