The former VP candidate related that she was told by McCain’s ‘elitist’ campaign advisers that discussing Barack Obama’s long-time confidante the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, who infamously invoked ‘goddam* America!,” or socialist terrorist William Ayers, whom Barack Obama definitely associated with, was off-limits. The McCain campaign’s argument to Palin was that the press would ‘eat them alive.’ Of course, the press was hostile to the Republican campaign and any real threats to the Obama candidacy. Better to lose than to tell the truth, right? America thanks the Washington consultancy class for a disastrous eight years of Obama as president.
