The fossil fuel industry is both fuelling and blocking serious action to address the climate crisis. On Global Divestment Day, all around the world, we will call on our institutions to stop investing in this destructive industry. Each act of divestment takes back power from fossil fuel companies and helps create a mandate for our leaders to take real action in Paris and beyond. Working together from Paris to the Pacific Islands and from New York to New Zealand we will spell out the obvious: fossil fuels are history. Our future lies in renewables. Last September hundreds of thousands of us took to the streets to demand action. Now is the time to join together globally again.
