The frog strikes again. As it became clear that our foster child needed a long term home we made the most difficult decision to have her moved. This is where it gets tough. This is where the job of a foster family gets emotional. After talking with the sweetest woman over the phone, each of us mothers, each of us with broken hearts for foster children, we decided her home would be a perfect fit for our girl. When the time came to tell our child about the move I was at a loss. Then I remembered the frog. Remember...??? Our sweet foster son, whom we had for a year, found a stray frog. The frog was little and lost. Our sons heart was broken for the frog. So we agreed to make a home for the frog in Brysons room. Bryson loved that little frog. After a while we started to notice the little frog wasnt doing as well as he once was. With tears in his eyes Bryson made the selfless decision to let his frog go. He loved that frog so much he wanted what was best for him. Thursday night I sat with a little girl and told her about that frog. We talked about real, true love. Love is hard. But we are now part of her family. Her family is not ending...its growing. She now has more people that love her. Tonight she called me to tell me about her weekend. I could hear her smiling. She is good. I even had to lecture her about brushing her teeth. Letting go isnt for the faint at heart. I gotta say it stinks. But what a blessing it can be. God put a beautiful plan together. He lined up a few obedient souls. They said yes to a calling. And now let the blessings begin.
