The fruit of Salvation by Grace through Faith is Obedience to Gods Moral Law! Ephesians 2: 8-10: 8For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. We are Saved unto good works in Christ Jesus, that means keeping Gods moral Law as a framework of obedience to the Gospel witness in the believers life. Scripture teaches that Gods Moral Law functions to convict people of sin, Restrains Lawlessness in Society and a framework for the Believer in godly Holy Living as clearly spoken: The Reformed faith teaches that the moral law of God has three uses. The first is to convict of sin and drive the repentant sinner to the Lord Jesus Christ. The second use of the law is to restrain lawlessness in society. The third use is to function as the rule of life for the believer. One of the most famous statements of this truth comes from the Puritan Samuel Bolton in The True Bounds of Christian Freedom: ‘The law sends us to the gospel for our justification; the gospel sends us to the law to frame our way of life.’[ii] The Puritan way of thinking and conduct is diametrically opposed to the ways of New Calvinism.
