The game last night was night was not for the faint of heart as there were 7 lead changes and in the end we came up one run short. One play here or there is all we needed. Remember baseball is a game of ups and downs and games like this are a part of it (does not make it easier though). We played pretty sloppy defense early, tightened up in the mid-innings and let it slip late. Not to mention the pitching was not as consistent as it usually is. Almost made a call to the bullpen.....We did have some great highlights from last night, Gabe got off the schnide and blasted a bases clearing double that put us up in the third. He almost made a sensational catch in the outfield as well, both of which earned him the game ball. A few other highlights to mention; Andrew made a great running catch at pitcher, Brice caught another deep fly ball and Brian made a great catch and doubled off the runner at first. That is two straight games with a double play. Now that we have to shake this one off and move on to practice this Thursday at Mountain Rd., 5:45pm at the soccer field area.
