The game started with DCCFC having some good possession and pressed hard on the visitors defence. The visitors caught the DCCFC defence off their guard and scored against the run of play ON 10mins The home side responded and on 14 mins some great work by James Montgomery found AJ Baker on the left wing Baker attacked the defender and passed superbly to Craig McCarthy who tapped home from 6 yards. The pressure continued and the ball was passed to Jordan Baker who smashed a thunderbolt of a shot from 30 yards into the roof of the net it was a wonder goal. On the stroke of half time DCCFC were awarded a penalty after Elliot was up ended in the box. AJ Baker stepped up and slotted the ball home with ease. Half Time 3-1 On the hour a great ball from Tenner Elliott found Jordan Baker racing up the right wing and he cut into the box and unselfishly passed to Craig McCarthy who again tapped home from six yards. The home team were now in control and a special mention must go to Midfielder James Montgomery put in another fantastic display running the middle of the park. On 75mins the home side were awarded another penalty and AJ Baker gave the ball to Craig McCarthy to let him try for a hat trick. The penalty was saved only for skipper Chrissy Stewart to pounce on the rebound to make it 5-1. Lower Maze scored on 80mins to make it 5-2.Two mins later they were awarded a penalty and DCCFC keeper Marc Robinson made a fine save. The home side made a couple of substitutions taking off Wilson and Montgomery who both had a great game. AJ Baker rounded off another great performance and in the 90th minute scored his second of the day and made it 6-2. Well done to all the lads another fine display, Final Score DCCFC 6 Lower Maze FC 2. Our second team had a tough match against Broomhedge seconds they only won 18-1 well done John Rosbotham on scoring eight goals. We Are The DCCFC.
