The geometric designs on the throne is typically Roman and Byzantine. Ive seen this almost in every Byzantine and Roman Architecture. There is one interesting similar pattern found on the middle floor of the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. Before becoming a museum the Hagia Sophia was converted to a Mosque and as usual they overlay the floors with carpets, but when it was declared a museum they removed the carpets and they discovered the geometric patterns on the marble floor.
