The girls and I just got home from a girls date nite, dinner and a movie. We all had a good nite :) ...You know " Being a full time mother is an easy job" said no mother. But being a full time stepmother is even harder, I think. I feel like there are areas in their lives that I am more so stricter on than I was in the lives of my own children. I am trying to NOT make the same mistakes over. After being told by 3 ppl near and dear to my heart recently that I am pretty strict when it comes to the girls, I had to really stop and take a good look at all of it from a different angle. I do think that there is room for me to lighten up on them. I didnt want them to make mistakes that would hurt them in the long run, and still dont. I realize that by letting them make SOME mistakes on their on, may end up helping them later. Its just very hard for me to sit back and watch it unfold. I really do need God to help glide me as their stepmother more and more in the care of these 2 girls as they grow and are exposed to more things in life.
