The goal is one and the same when it comes to helping animals with the various rescue groups in Saint John. Working together to help is exactly what happened with a long term feline resident of the Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue. Jankovic is a beautiful girl; silvery gray fur and a beautiful face. She is spayed and has been at the shelter for almost a year and a half. Unfortunately, she had not secured a permanent home or had any success with a temporary foster placement. Jankovic needed some special attention out of the shelter environment to experience a home-like atmosphere. We reached out to Heather Baxter, who heads up Spay a Stray. The group focuses primarily on spaying and neutering cats. Heather was only too happy to work with Janko and get her adoption ready. Heather has lots of experience and has handled hundreds of cats, including some hard cases. She will help Janko make the adjustment to a new home and as you can see….she is doing just that. We all share the common goal in working together to improve the quality of the lives of the animals and are only too happy to share such a wonderful story.
