The gospel of Christ is the power of God to salvation because it reveals Gods righteousness. It is not powerful because it reveals sin, but because it reveals the righteousness that we become in Christ Jesus. As long as one stays focused on sin, they cannot see who they who or how God truly sees them in Christ. Righteousness and salvation come to us as gifts through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:16-17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)
