The government in Afghanistan needs to consider another option for fighting crimes in the country such as creating “vigilantes” from the best member of society to help the police to watch out for criminals and track down trouble makers in the community and to make a citizen arrests if necessary . This is a very useful scheme which has been adapted by some authority in the Western countries such as US and the UK to help the police in fighting crimes in major cities like London and New York and it has been very successful for reducing crimes and protecting the society from the menace of criminals and undesirables in the country . In Afghanistan the police force are stretched out far too much to cope with ever increasing crimes in the country and can not be everywhere to stop criminals to hurting people but they need additional help from community to catch the criminals and hand them over to police for punishment therefore the “vigilantes” can be a very useful body for providing extra security to society in the country .
