The government is not to be mistaken for the country, so if we - TopicsExpress

The government is not to be mistaken for the country, so if we criticise the government, we are not criticising the country. The two entities are separate. In fact, it is our responsibility as concerned citizens to ask questions and criticise. We do this for the good of our country. If we were to remain quiet, we will be endorsing mediocrity, stupidity and wrong. And the world will think that we, too, are mediocre, stupid and wrong. My exact sentiments. And when we question its not that we love our country less, in fact, more because we chose to stay on to defend it.
