The government whether local or federal has no business telling Pastors and Evangelists what to say or not to say and examining their sermons before they preach. Good grief. We have Imams in Mosques across our country calling for the deaths of Americans, yet they are more concerned about what Pastors are preaching. Officials with the city of Houston, Texas served a subpoena to local pastors for copies of their sermons and copies of other communications from the pastors to their congregations. ADF Litigation Counsel Christiana Holcomb responded, “The city’s subpoena of sermons and other pastoral communications is both needless and unprecedented. The city council and its attorneys are engaging in an inquisition designed to stifle any critique of its actions. Political and social commentary is not a crime; it is protected by the First Amendment.”
