The government will slash its spending on print advertising by 50 per cent and instead advertise on the internet, a Cabinet Secretary has said. Speaking at a workshop in Nairobi yesterday, ICT Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i revealed that the government is currently researching on ways to reduce its spend on newspaper advertisements. “We will, with immediate effect, embark on spending more on digital advertising to reduce costs,” Dr Matiang’i said.
