The government will stop at nothing short of full obedience from its slaves....err tax cattle...err citizens. This is what you get for forcing people to pay the government in order for the government to pay schools to teach us. Ive noticed this type of thing on construction jobs before; When a project managing company gets a job, they hire sub-contractors, electricians, plumbers, framers, etc, to do the work. The problem is, if a client were to walk up to me and ask me to stop installing some fixture or switch because it didnt fit their plan, the plan they are paying for, I will likely HAVE to ignore what they are telling me in order to serve the master with the money. My paycheck comes out of the money, not the customers happiness so there is an added step in meeting the customers needs. The government is the ultimate project manager in that the people who inhabit government positions want to take control of as many projects as they possibly can in order to control as much money as they can. The people who go after that money are not interested in the actual clients they are serving, but the client with the money, the government. Thats why you will get crap like this from public education. Public education relies on government force to exist, so of course their teachings will be aimed at serving the master with the money, the government, not the teachers, the parents, or most importantly, the students. You hate the way society is operating nowadays? How many decades has the government controlled education? 15000 plus hours of government education probably isnt capable of doing much more than killing the students interest in learning, let alone even come close to teaching citizens to vote competently on issues ranging from healthcare, war, taxation, economics, use of force and the constitution. Public schools will never be able to do more than teach people how to serve the government while the government is controlling the purse strings.
