The grace to let go and let God be God flows trust in His boundless love. Since he did not spare His own son, but gave him up for the sake of all of us, then can we not expect that with him he will freely give us all his gifts? Only love empowers the leap in trust, the courage to risk everything on Jesus, the readiness to move into the darkness guided only by a pillar of fire. Trust clings to the belief that whatever happens in our lives is design to teach us holiness. That trust gives the grace which tells me that I am accepted the way I am. That I may not be the kind person people want me to be, I may be a long way from my goals, I may have failures than achievements, I may not be wealthy or powerful or spiritual, I may nit even be happy, but I am nonetheless accepted by God, held in His hands. Such is his promise to us in Jesus Christ, a promise I can trust in faith. Abba, Abba.
