The grass is always greener on the other side.. At least until we actually get there. The idea that there is always sometime better, something more beautiful, something much more exceptional is so prevalent everywhere we look. Were always romanticizing the past, wishing we had back what we lost, imaging a life we once were living without looking at things realistically. For instance; imagine a cowboy; handsome, chivalrous, manly.. Absolute perfection. Reality; dirty, smelly, most likely misogynistic, and doesnt give a damn about your romanticized vision of who he should be and how he should act. Hell, he might even not be a he at all! All Im thinking is that it would be such a beautiful thing to be able to take in life and love and mere existence for what it is and see things in their entirety and not just certain appealing aspects of it. Just a ramble brought on by some reading material. Thats all.
