The grass is always greener on the other side. Everyone has heard this before. Some consider it a life metaphor. I hate this quote and Ive always hated it. I believe it perpetuates the quitters mentality and the woe is me lifestyle. You could comfort yourself with the lame thought that greener grass equates a higher power bill, or further, that it still has to be cut. Get over yourself. The truth is: there is ALWAYS going to be someone better than you (i.e., better job, more money, nicer car, better body, etc.) Did you ever stop and wonder that you could very well be the reason your grass isnt greener? You dont lay the fertilizer, you dont take the time to water it and yet you expect results? Instead of putting the work in for you, you find it easier to complain about somebody who does put the work in. Get a new metaphor. Self responsibility people, look it up. [End rant]
