The great Catalan version (with Lluís Travesset and Sergio Dalma) - TopicsExpress

The great Catalan version (with Lluís Travesset and Sergio Dalma) of You raise me up (composed by the duo Secret Garden). A perfect song to illustrate how Catalan people are feeling . Now we are asking could legally vote on our future #9N2014, but the Spanish Constitution is closed into the hands of the politicians and legislators. We want self-determination, to be sovereign! Why there are no dissenting voices among the Spaniards? It is worrying :-PPP Whereas it happens, we are being faced with daunting challenges that include growing economic gaps all over our country (deficits in all types of infrastructure, disinvestment, etc), long term unemployment, bad social and women policies, government structures that favor the well-connected few at the expense of the many, language policies that minoritize absolutely the Catalan, and a long list of grievances. But why is the growing gap between Catalonia and Spain an issue for Open Government? In my view, it is the core issue for OpenGov, along with supporting healthy democratic processes. Why the Spanish State denies the fundamental rights of participation? Why Catalans can not vote? They are afraid of the result. We are convinced: we need another type of state. So we will reiterate a legislative reform for ensuring that internal government and business policies are inclusive, and allow for an open process whereby contributors can comment, edit and review policy before it goes into effect. «You raise me up to walk on stormy seas... You raise me up... To more than I can be» https://youtube/watch?v=c64MSvRRHnc
