Tozer said, It is my opinion that the Christian conception of God currently is so decadent as to be utterly beneath the dignity of the Most High God and actually to constitute for professed believers something amounting to a moral calamity. The idea that God is some sugar coated Big Daddy is what Tozer saw creeping into the Church decades ago. Well it is here if full force and most Christians cant even detect it when they see or hear it. When books like The Shack become best sellers even among evangelical Christians, something is drastically wrong with our theology and understanding of the Godhead (Father, Son, Holy Spirit). It is so sad that Millennials (20 something) are not being exposed to some of the great old hymns that so clearly and beautifully spoke of the greatness and glory of God (How Great Thou Art...Be Thou My Vision...Holy, Holy, Holy, etc) Let me make a suggestion that you buy a hymnal (or ask your Pastor for one your church isnt using any more, and do your daily devotions for a few weeks by reading some of the hymns is the front of the hymnal. You will come away blessed and thrilled at the majesty and wonder of Jehovah our God. No wonder Paul said,that I may know Him...
