The great Ian Prukner brought a story to mind about about WWII - TopicsExpress

The great Ian Prukner brought a story to mind about about WWII Veterans and their families taking the barricades at the WWII Monument and dropping them off at the White House. When I read the story, these words came back to my memory. I, Vernon Ray Hynes, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God. I keep 2 books in my car: The Bible and my copy of the Constitution of The United States of America. Although I do not claim to have the great constitutional mind of a William Rehnquist, a Mark Levin or a Benjamin Suderman I do know what the word Oath means. It means you promised, you gave your word on something. Im old enough to remember when that actually meant something. I guarantee you, those WWII vets still remember.
