The great Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius did not like Poets because he believe that the poets had the ability to stir up a cultural renaissance that could turn the minds of the people against the Empire, strange thing is he himself was a poet and a philosophers. It April and its National poetry month so to all you poets who will be taking part in the 30/30 write a poem a day, I challenge you to write a poem to set off a cultural renaissance of love and truth, so like Bob Dylan say, Come writers and critics Who prophesize with your pen And keep your eyes wide open The chance won’t come again And don’t speak too soon For the wheel’s still in spin And there’s no telling’ who that it’s naming For the loser now will be later to win For the times they are a-changing. Good writing everyone, blessed.
