The great Roscoe Holcomb was a coal miner who was not recorded - TopicsExpress

The great Roscoe Holcomb was a coal miner who was not recorded until the age of 46, in 1958; he defines traditional appalachian music and his singing and playing been termed the high, lonesome sound (only Ralph Stanley can achieve the same sound); his swooping voice singular and haunting, is two finger-style banjo picking immaculate. Not only that, I consider him to be a style icon: wish i could pull off his look. This clip is from him playing on the Pete Seeger show.
